Our Story

Four children were born to us over the course of seven years. The beauty of a large family brought with it not only joy, running around, giggling, millions of questions, whispering, and excitement, but also the need to save time and energy wherever possible. We also took care of our grandparents on an ongoing basis, which left no time for heroics. Everything usually culminated before Christmas. We managed to come up with gifts, buy them, and hide them, but the "wrapping evening" always exhausted us completely. We brought gifts, paper, cardboard, scissors, name tags, string, ribbons, markers, and a pot of tea to the large dining table. During the evening, the tea was gradually replaced by a bottle of wine, sometimes two. Then we locked the door and got ready to go!

Sort into piles according to recipients. Cut the paper. Wrap. Secure with tape. Tie with ribbon. Label. Keep the piles organized and clear. When carrying gifts to their hiding places, be careful not to tear, dirty, or crumple the wrapping, and make sure the name tags don't fall off (Once, a Barbie doll in gift wrapping landed under the tree for Grandma, while her grandson stared in disbelief at a brand new blood pressure monitor. He quickly exchanged it with his grandfather for Lego, while his grandmother refused to give up the Barbie doll and held it enchantedly in her arms).
The children rushed to the tree and tore open their presents in a split second, throwing the wrapping paper aside. In a few moments, it was all over—the presents were unwrapped, and the floor was littered with paper, ribbons, name tags, plastic from the original packaging, boxes, and other junk. My husband and I filled the trash can and bags for sorted waste. Several hours of work were gone, clouds of beautiful paper were gone, crumpled single-use ribbons were useless and couldn't even be sorted... we were feeling discouraged.
And then we had a brilliant idea! If we don't want to throw away the packaging, it mustn't be damaged; if it isn't to be damaged, it must be sturdy yet flexible. Strong, tasteful. Fabric! We bought meters of pretty fabric, with Christmas and other motifs, sewed bags of various sizes, and paper packaging was permanently removed from our household.Arrivederci!
Now my husband and I skip the teapot. Half the bottle is left when all the gifts are neatly arranged in their respective piles, tied up and labeled. No scissors, ribbons, cardboard. Nice and quick, clean, simple, and done. We discreetly collect the bags from under the tree, stack them in a box, and tidy up before the children can enjoy their presents.
We have given fabric sets to our extended family on various occasions, and now gifts wrapped exclusively in beautiful fabrics are circulating among us. Then our friends said they would also like to wrap gifts more sustainably. And then our friends' friends. And their friends and relatives. So we sew and sew, invent, design fabrics, packaging, and other details so that you, our customers, receive beautiful packages with high-quality gift bags. May they serve you well!
